INITIAL INFORMATION POST – 5/31/16:
Faith Lutheran Church, as a part of its celebration of 60 years of God’s grace, which will be celebrated throughout next calendar year (2017), will be hosting its first ever cruise.
“FAITH FACTOR”, the worship and praise team that helps lead Saturday night worship from September through May is hosting this special event. And they are inviting YOU to join them during Spring break, 2017. The dates are March 20th through 25th.
We will meet at Faith Lutheran Church on the morning of the 20th, where you may park your vehicles for the week. We will travel by bus to the Port of Tampa, and board Royal Caribbean’s “Brilliance of the Seas” for a six-day, five-night cruise. The ship will make day-stops in Cozumel, Mexico, and on Grand Cayman. There will also be two full days where the ship will be at sea, and you may enjoy the numerous amenities of the ship.
On “sea days” (Tuesday and Friday), Faith Factor will help lead morning devotions after breakfast. On opening night (Monday) as well as “port days” (Wednesday and Thursday), we will gather after supper for Bible Study and reflection on our day.
There are MANY more details to be added to this, such as possible day excursions which we are looking at putting together (including one hosted by Pastor Hu Temme). As we get more information, it will be added as UPDATES, on the top of this page. When these are added, the cruise article will move back to the top of the church’s webpage with the word UPDATE added to it.
For now, we ask two things. First of all, there is a PDF of the official cruise brochure – the link is below. Most any computer should be able to open it. It has details not shared here that you will need to read about.
But then, we ask you to make your reservation now. Because of the timing of the cruise, cabins will fill up fast. You may send an e-mail to: pastortom@faithnpr.org to express your interest. But to officially reserve space, you will need to send a copy of the registration form in the PDF to the church along with a deposit for $150 to “WINGS OF EAGLES TRAVEL” (personal check is fine).
