“A Child’s Hope” fundraiser will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in the Christian Life Center on Wednesday, October 26th beginning at 6:30 p.m. Our purpose is to not only raise money for the bags of supplies they give the children, but to also help raise awareness of what a child experiences during this time of uncertainty. Having something to eat or a soft toy to hold offers comfort at times like these.
The dinner will also be a way for the project volunteers to say Thank You to all the agents they work with through Children’s Protective Services of the Pasco and Pinellas Sheriff Offices in both counties. These individuals work daily placing children in foster homes for their protection. Some of the agents have been invited as featured speakers.
Church volunteers collect new, small stuffed animals, coloring books and colored pencils, storybooks, tooth brushes, tooth paste, hair brushes, combs, and small flashlights. They also bag up diapers, baby wipes and wrapped snack food packets for the children waiting in the holding room.
Tickets for this fundraiser are on sale through Sunday, October 23rd only. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets to attend are $10 and the dinner will be buffet style. All proceeds from the event will be used to fund “A Child’s Hope” project.
Join us as we draw close to our goal of providing 1,600 comfort bags.
