What do you wish for? Most of us wish for an easier life, a better life, or in the case of “mom’s”, those very things for their children, grandchildren, step-children, etc. But the life of a Christian faces tests and trials from a world as unfriendly to us as it was and is to Jesus. Yet we are not without hope. Jesus is our Good Shepherd who loves us more than life. He is the Savior who has won salvation for us. There is no enemy strong enough to overcome Him. He has fulfilled the Father’s saving will and purpose and now promises us that no one is able to snatch us from our Father’s hand. This is our joy amid struggle and sorrow, and this confidence will deliver us to everlasting life through our own joyful resurrection with Christ.
