The object of the Ladies’ Guild is to serve our local congregation as needed, to foster fellowship on a spiritual and social level, and to help in the charitable endeavors of our Church. We also assist each woman of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
All women of the congregation who are communicant members of Faith Lutheran Church are welcome to be members of the Guild. Every member has the right to vote and to hold office, is encouraged to attend meetings regularly, contribute to the financial support, and participate in the service projects of the Guild.
The Guild meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM. These business meetings consist of devotions, committee reports, and review of old and new business. In addition to conducting the work of the Guild, the monthly meetings provide time for sisterly fellowship. At each meeting, one of the members is the hostess and provides refreshments.
As well, each year the Guild produces a Fashion Show in February that includes a salad luncheon. The funds raised from this event allow the Guild to donate and support various mission funds, assist the church with various needs that arise, and support expenses that may be incurred from monthly meetings.
