The season of Lent begins on Wednesday, February 17th, and Faith Lutheran will be hosting a series of services and (free) dinners each Wednesday evening through March 24th. Except for on Ash Wednesday, the meals begin at 6:30 PM each week with the service following at 7:15 PM. The first week, on Ash Wednesday, we will begin the meal at 6:15 PM so we can begin a service of Holy Communion at 7 PM in our main sanctuary.
There will be a different meal theme served by a different group each week. Please note that the meal on March 17th will feature a chili cook-off, with all attendees serving as judges that night. Soon, details will be released for everyone who wants to submit an entry.
All meals will be held in our Christian Life Center. Proper social distancing and cleanliness procedures will be followed. You will also be asked to have a mask along with you.
As for the services, the theme for this year’s services is, “To Seek and To Save”. As our Savior came into this world to save us, so our Lenten journey sends us with the message of salvation into the world which our Savior died for. We hope you can join us each week.
Finally, a Lenten devotional booklet is available at Faith Lutheran Church. It contains informational material on our church, and a daily devotion on the theme, “THE MARKS OF LOVE.” Feel free to pick up a copy.
