The wind ensemble (concert band) of Concordia University-(Mequon) Wisconsin will be in concert at Faith Lutheran Church on Sunday evening, January 19th. The concert will begin at 7 PM in the church sanctuary. They will share familiar works, including a tribute to Aretha Franklin on what is the final evening of their western Florida tour of LC-MS churches and schools.
Concordia University Wisconsin’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble is a premier, 60-piece, auditioned ensemble, performing sacred and classical music from a standard wind repertoire. Previous January tours have taken the group to Hawaii, California, Germany, Austria and Italy. It is but one of many choral and instrumental groups at the 140-year old university.
